Angela Levenson’s unique approach to professional organizing combines mindfulness, intentional systems, and a deep understanding of what families really need.
When Angela Levenson walks into a client’s home for the first time, she doesn’t immediately start sorting through clutter or pulling out label makers. Instead, she lights a candle, sits down with her client, and guides them through a personalized meditation.
“This process really starts from the inside out,” explains Levenson, founder of Home Again Organizing. “I often walk into chaos and stress and anxiety, but I want to help clients center and ground and visualize the end result before we begin.”
It’s this distinctive approach—blending practical organizing skills with mindfulness and emotional awareness—that sets Home Again Organizing apart in Colorado’s professional organizing landscape.
From Marketing to Meaningful Work

Levenson’s journey to professional organizing wasn’t a straight path. With a background in marketing and previous experience in the music industry, she found herself at a crossroads after leaving her last job.
“I was marketing other people’s businesses, growing other people’s businesses,” she recalls. “And then when they made big managerial decisions and I got thrown to the curb twice, it didn’t really inspire me to go back on that hamster wheel.”
The turning point came when close friends—a couple expecting their second child—asked for her help with an overwhelming move. The wife was experiencing a complicated pregnancy, both parents worked full-time, and they had a toddler and a decade’s worth of accumulated belongings to sort through.
“Seeing the struggle and the stress and the overwhelm they were experiencing, I see them in all of my clients,” Levenson says. “These big transitions, which should be really exciting and joyous moments in their lives, so many people are really just consumed with overwhelm. And I realized there actually was something I could do to help.”
A Name With Meaning
The business name itself tells a story. “Home Again” was inspired by a song from the Disco Biscuits, one of Levenson’s favorite bands. It’s a connection that brings her full circle to her music industry roots.
“The lyrics say, ‘never had a home like this,’ “she explains. “There’s no feeling like being home again. And the ‘OM’ in home symbolizes peace, calm, groundedness—putting that Om in your sacred space.”
Her slogan? “Bringing Om to your home.”
The Woman Behind the Business

Levenson’s path to Colorado and professional organizing is as unique as her approach to the work itself.
Born under a full moon with a Taurus sun, she describes herself as “loyal, determined, a little stubborn, and most grounded when the space around me is calm and aligned.” It’s a philosophy that clearly informs her organizing practice.
Music has been a constant thread throughout her life. She’s been playing violin since age 5 and still performs today. After graduating college, she made a bold move to New York City without a job lined up and landed one the very next day.
Her career in the music industry included working as an executive assistant in artist management, with memorable experiences like attending SNL when one of her bands performed and meeting Paul McCartney at the after party.
“It was one of my favorite life moments,” she recalls.
In 2020, Levenson launched a podcast that produced 100 episodes helping beauty professionals navigate entrepreneurship—another example of her natural inclination to help others succeed.
Her move to Colorado came from an unexpected place: falling in love with Red Rocks. “I met my now-husband there in 2018, and we got engaged at Red Rocks on New Year’s Eve 2021 in the snow,” she shares.
Perhaps most tellingly, organizing has been in her DNA since childhood. “As a kid, my parents would walk into my room and find everything I owned piled on my bed—because I was ‘reorganizing’ for fun,” she laughs. “I’ve wanted to own my own business for as long as I can remember.”
Today, she’s a proud dog mom to Leo, her 5-year-old “fur baby,” who occasionally makes appearances during her free virtual consultations.
The Candle Ritual

Every client receives a homemade candle at their first session—a surprise that sets the tone for Levenson’s unique process. After an extensive consultation, she creates a personalized meditation based on the client’s specific situation and goals.
“Whether it’s an executor of a family members estate dealing with emotional burden, or a family preparing for a new baby, we’re working through so much more than just stuff,” she says. “We’re working through the stories that are attached to these things.”
The two-to-three-minute meditation helps clients visualize their transformed space, let go of what no longer serves them, and prepare emotionally for the decluttering process ahead. Clients keep the candle and light it whenever they need to return to that grounded place.
Who She Serves
Levenson specializes in working with busy working families, particularly those with young children navigating life’s transitions.
“My clients are usually working parents who just don’t have the time to create these intentional systems that will actually give them more time back in their life and help their family flow,” she explains. “Their home isn’t supporting their flow. It’s actually getting in the way.”
Common scenarios include: parents constantly late because they can’t find keys, lost homework assignments, overwhelming amounts of children’s artwork, career changes requiring home office transformations, health and wellness journeys needing kitchen or closet reorganization, and empty nesters reimagining their spaces.
More Than Just Bins and Labels

While Home Again Organizing offers traditional services (home organizing, moving assistance, office spaces, and garages), Levenson has expanded into interior styling, art and photo hanging, and full-service project coordination.
“I can be a one-stop shop,” she says. “If you need something painted, an electrician, a plumber, help decluttering and packing, I have an incredible network of professionals I can coordinate for people. It’s really about relieving the stress and overwhelm of these big milestones.”
One aspect she’s particularly proud of: her official partnership with Resilient Provisions Inc, a nonprofit supporting single moms and their children rebuilding their lives after escaping domestic abuse.
“Usually within a week, the items I donate from my clients are with a family who truly needs them,” Levenson notes. “It really helps with the decluttering process because they know this doesn’t serve me, but it can serve someone else.”
Life-Changing Transformations
The impact goes far beyond tidy spaces. Levenson recalls a client with significant health issues whose home had become unsafe and unsupportive.
“She’s mid-thirties with so much life in her, but she has physical and energetic limitations,” Levenson shares. “We started with her tea station because I could hear how important tea is to her daily ritual. When we finished her kitchen and pantry, she looked at me through tears and said, ‘This is truly life-changing.'”
Even smaller moments resonate. One mother reported that after organizing the playroom, her five-year-old asked for his “red truck book” before school. “She knew exactly where it was. No meltdown that morning,” Levenson smiles. “That’s not little if you’re the parent trying to get to school.”
Organizing vs. Tidying: Understanding the Difference

One common misconception Levenson addresses: the difference between organizing and simply tidying up.
“You can tidy something up and it can look nice, but if it doesn’t actually have a system, it won’t stay,” she explains. “I create systems by defining spaces—using containers, bags, bins—and then labeling everything. The labels act as instructions for you and your household members.”
This approach is about investing time upfront to save exponentially more later—not just time, but mental energy and money too.
“I can’t tell you how many pairs of scissors I’ve found in people’s homes because they kept buying scissors when they couldn’t find them,” she laughs. “It’s energy wasted, money wasted, and time wasted.”
Quick Tips From a Pro
Levenson shares some practical organizing advice:
- Match your hangers: It’s not just aesthetics. Matching hangers (especially thin velvet ones) save significant closet space
- Baby hanger hack: Use small baby hangers for pants. They fit perfectly when pants are folded in half
- Drawer dividers are game-changers: Create “extra drawers” within drawers to keep things defined and need fewer total drawers
- Label everything: Even when it feels like overkill, labels make a huge difference in maintaining systems
- Color-code for kids: Organize toys by color (“all red toys in this box, blue toys here”) so even non-readers can maintain the system
- Categorize thoughtfully: Getting categories right is crucial. It reduces mental energy spent on where things go
Looking Ahead

For the future, Levenson envisions growing her team of organizers to serve more families across Colorado. She’s also expanding her space curation services, what she calls being a “space strategist.”
“Whether that’s organizing, design, creating a zen den or man cave, I want to create spaces that really speak to whoever the homeowner is,” she says. “It’s really important that our space reflects ourselves because it provides opportunities to grow, connect, and be inspired.”
For Those Hesitating
To anyone considering professional organizing but feeling hesitant, Levenson’s advice is simple: just have a conversation.
“Asking for help is one of the strongest skills we can have,” she says. “It opens up opportunities to do more of what brings us joy. You can also start small—organize one drawer in your own home and see if it’s harder than you thought, or if you realize you should hire somebody.”
