Just in time for outdoor winter dining

Hoping to dine on a heated restaurant patio or inside a private greenhouse or yurt this season? Under the Level Red restrictions, these on-site dining options are still possible. And we’ve compiled a list of more than 150 of them around Denver to get you started, organized by neighborhood.

We ended up at a Highland neighborhood spot, Acova. While you might know this location better by its long-running restaurant predecessor, Patsy’s, for the past 2½ years Betsy Workman has been running the new business with a clear focus on her surrounding community.
If you stop by anytime soon for heated outdoor dining, you might find Workman at the host stand, measuring tape in hand (to make sure tables are always spaced accordingly). Acova’s Navajo Street-side seating is roomy with plenty of scattered heaters. And it’s open all day, with dishes like bread pudding French toast or tamale hash for weekend brunch, and pork posole green chile or beer-battered cod and chips for dinner.
I first fell for Acova’s red and white wine slushies served on the same patio during summertime. But a dirty chai or hot toddy this season are just as lovable, as is the whole neighborhood operation. Here are other spots to check out this season.
